Nightjar is the non-owl Feather unlock with Night Vision. Hatchlings and adults of eligible nocturnal species can toggle it. Press V on PC or use the Actions menu.

Night forest and desert routes. Turn the filter off in the lit Village so the screen does not wash out.
Stay active in a server. The documented rate is 5 Feathers every 90 seconds, and the wallet stops at 10,000 until you spend some. Feathers are not sold for Robux.

On a flying species that is old enough, press Q on PC, tap the wing button on mobile, or press Y or Triangle on console. Press the same control again to land. Eggs and flightless species cannot take off.
