First session

1. Choose how you spawn — The character menu can start you as an egg, a hatchling, or an adult. Eggs use Hatch and then pick a species you own. Hatchlings use Grow when you want the adult moves. Adults can fly if the species flies, and only adults place nests. Free starters include sparrows, doves, cardinals, finches, chickens, ducks, geese, and several other common birds at no Feather cost.
2. Move and take off — On PC, Shift sprints and Q toggles flight. On mobile, use the run button and the wing button. On console, sprint is X or Square and flight is Y or Triangle. Point the camera where you want to go. A downward camera speeds a dive. If Q does nothing, you are probably an egg, a grounded chick, or a flightless bird such as a penguin or ostrich.
3. Let Feathers tick — You do not grind a boss for currency. Active time pays 5 Feathers every 90 seconds, up to a 10,000 balance. Spend them in the feather menu when you want another species. Robux does not buy Feathers. Staying in a flock or flying the map is enough to keep the timer moving, as long as the client does not sit idle long enough to disconnect.
4. Nest, then meet people — When you are an adult, open Nest on dry ground and place a stick, rock, or dirt nest. Teleport returns you later. Offspring and food are optional roleplay, not a requirement to keep playing. Flocks, opened from the bottom bar, add a private chat and teleports. The map teleport list jumps to Village, Forest, Beach, Desert, Ice Mountain, Skylands, and the other biomes without a long flight.
